The whole earth is full of your patiеnce
The tall oak begins as a seed
If you took your timе when you made the blue mountains
I know you‘ll be patient with me

Like fields that you water with rain
And like the wild lilies spring up on the hillside
New life will grow out of my pain

I know if I go looking
I’ll find you every time
(Repeat)
Good Good Father

Bring me to my knees. Lord, I lay me down
Rid me of myself, I belong to You

Prayer
3 Movements:
Centering Focus - Reflection and Petition - Lord’s Prayer -
Centering Focus - Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Reflection and Petition
(Open your life to God and say whatever needs to be said)
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
May your name be revered as holy.
May your kingdom come.
May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from evil. Amen.
Scripture
John 10:1-11
The Good Shepherd and His Sheep
1“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”
6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a]They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Reflection Questions
Is the way I’m being led actually recovering my life?
Is it making me more whole… more grounded… more able to love?
Or is something, little by little, being taken from me?

Lyrics
Faith More Precious Than Gold
Verse 1
We have suffered all kinds of grief,
Tasted the bitter cup of defeat
Out of the bitter comes something sweet
Our faith more precious than gold
We have been tested by so many fires
Burned in the heat of what our hope requires
Find us here singing in a foolish choir
Our faith more precious than gold, Our faith more precious than gold
Chorus
Though we don’t see you, we love you, When we don’t feel you, we still sing
We’ve got a reason to trust you, Jesus in everything
Verse2
There is a secret we can only know
Walking through places we don’t want to go
Cause in the dark we learn the song of hope
Our faith more precious than gold, Our faith more precious than gold
Chorus
Though we don’t see you, we love you,
When we don’t feel you, we still sing
We’ve got a reason to trust you, Jesus in everything
Though we don’t see you, we love you,
When we don’t feel you, we still sing
We’ve got a reason to trust you, Jesus in everything
Jesus in everything
Bridge
Tears on the altar from all we’ve lost,
Following you no matter what it cost
May be a whisper, may be a roar
This is the sound of those who love you Lord
This is the sound of those who love you Lord
(repeat)
Chorus
Though we don’t see you, we love you,
When we don’t feel you, we still sing
We’ve got a reason to trust you, Jesus in everything

We’ve got a reason to trust you,
Jesus in everything, Jesus in everything

Scripture
John 14:1-14
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a];believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believesin me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
